MJF,

Beautiful Henry, no doubt. Question for you ... on the case color hardened models, what is the texture like on the color-hardened receiver & parts? Is it rough or smooth? I've never seen one in person but have been trying for ions to get one of these in a 20" .44Mag model. Just curious. Best wishes on your new .357!

Thanks,
XJP5

on mine, CCH has satin feel, or maybe very slightly rougher, not much.

That's a great looking rifle. I like how the shorter barrel makes even the stock seem more compact. That should make for easy carry if you choose to hunt with it.
Let us know how your range time goes with it. I have a thread detailing my experiences, and am interested in what others experience with their Henry .357s.
