Gasoline/Diesel/Propane Prices
I'd like for this thread to become an ongoing record of the fuel prices our folks are paying along with comments related to any special circumstances in their areas .... as prices change, please post updates
in south central NC the price of Regular 87 octane gasoline does vary a but $2.899 CASH, $2.999 CREDIT is what we see at most stations .... it often drops up to 20 cents a gallon for short periods in areas where there is considerable competition

Re: Gasoline/Diesel Prices
literally, right after posting the opening post in this thread, we drove around this area .... to our pleasant surprise, at some stations Regular Unleaded (87 octane) was selling for $2.749 CASH --- $2.849 CREDIT .... it will be interesting to see where the price goes from here
Re: Gasoline/Diesel Prices
We're about a dollar more for regular. Diesel is over $5.

Re: Gasoline/Diesel Prices
I paid $2.47 today on the southside of town, going into town and exiting out the west. $2.79 was the most expensive I believe I saw today.

Can we add propane to the thread? Many of us heat with it.

I remember being appalled at the gas prices in Eastern Oregon on a road trip around 1973-74. 49.9 cents. I left. Managed to get to Lakeview (oddly there in no lake to view) and paid 1/2 that.

Re: Gasoline/Diesel Prices
I only use it for my stovetop, fireplace logs, and generator. The two 100 gal tanks are monitored by wifi and get filled automatically by my vendor. The price varies with the market.
In September I paid $3.749 for 111.5 Gal

Prices go up and down. Yet, I still able to pay. Life is good.

Re: Gasoline/Diesel Prices
I paid $1.25 this summer and $1.15 last summer. I have 80% of 4,350 gallon capacity which will last me three years for the house and twenty years on the remote tanks for the garage.CT_Shooter wrote: ↑Fri Nov 21, 2025 6:21 pmI only use it for my stovetop, fireplace logs, and generator. Re: Gasoline/Diesel/Propane Prices
I recently filled the gas cans I use for Diesel, and that was $3.59 per gallon.
My car was filled at a little station in Schenectady, NY, at $2.91 per gallon for their 87 octane. That's really low, which is why I stopped in and filled the tank there.
I also have a few cans that I use for the quad, and the UTVs, along with any other gas powered tool I have, either two or four stroke. Those cans only get the 91 octane, alcohol free fuel. That was just shy of $4.00 per gallon, but since it may not get consumed quickly, I like the ethanol free for that.

I haven’t bought gas in 2.5 years.
I did look at a gas station the other day. $5.49 for regular.

Love it coach! Enjoy that ride right past the gas pumps.
Here in Washington we have very high gas taxes in lieu of an income tax. Our current administration just added another .12 cents to the high tax to help offset the deficit we now have. So the price for regular is around $3.80 but that’s down from over $4 recently. Today I’m making a trip to Idaho so I’ll fill up at about .60 cents less, around $3.20.
