The houses in my old neighborhood are going for $2M now. I was lower upper class and went to lower middle class and pocketed the difference. Instead of investing in the market im now putting my money into things i can hold and see.
A couple of years ago a house in Bellevue was put on the market for $2.6million, it sold for almost a million over the asking price.

Several years ago my single sister sold her condo here and moved to Pennsylvania. At that time she was able to reinvest the proceeds from her sale and get a nice manufactured home in a 55+ community. Now she is wanting to return to Spokane and is finding that what she can sell her PA place for won’t get her the same home here. This state is getting so expensive and not just in taxes.
