You are only just over an hour away from my Niece in Couderay. Will have to keep that in mind if I go to visit her.
You are welcome to stop by anytime.

That was one of the biggest reasons I bought it.

Great to hear from you and to see your new home. As you can tell from all these fine folks you have been missed.
Looking forward to following along as you settle in and start your projects.

First line of business is thawing out. It’s -21F outside. At least it’s nice and toasty inside. The house has radiant floor heat. The inspection included thermal imaging to detect for leaks as it hot water in the concrete floor on the first floor.

Even the electrical panel and outlets/switched were photographed to detect potential shorts.

The heat is fueled by propane. It only costs $85 a month averaged for 12 months to heat the house. I’m amazed at how well insulated it is. No drafts near the window and doors. I also saw thermal pictures of the windows/doors.

I will have to dig out a trench around the house to keep the snow away.

The gutters also will need some attention. Too much ice is building up and when the thaw comes it will allow the eaves to get wet. Some of the plants were also planted to close.

Little Girl is telling me not to move the plants because she likes looking at the birds hanging out at them. She also loves the heated floors.

I took a big risk buying sight unseen but the inspection was quite thorough. I was expecting a lot the house to need a lot more work however when I saw it for the first time I discovered it’s in great shape.

I can’t wait for spring to start work on building a shooting range.

Heated floors are different. I guess it may be typical for cooler climants. From what I can tell, the place does seem like it is in good shape. Hope you are able to get in a lot of shooting. Seems like you have the land for it.

No shooting yet. I haven’t even been here for 48 hours. My second beautiful sunrise over Timms Hill and the historical Ring School House.

Sweet. Fiona would love the heated floors. She would disappear in that snow. :D

Gene, that picture of Timms hill looks like a painting. Beautiful colors.
