I used to build models as a youth. With little time, detailing and photographing these small diecast cars and trucks is relaxing and takes me back a bit. I'm just going to throw pictures in this thread of some of the ones I like.

Very nice Dave. I love military models.

I built models up until I moved out of the barracks in the Corps. Went to a large hobby shop here several years ago looking for a special paint to match a ding we were touching up. Found the paint, and also found a model of the CH46 helo I spent most of my career working on, and flying in.

The boxed model is still in the top of my closet, waiting for the time when I will have the patience to give it the attention it needs. I don't want to just build the box model, I want to add authenticity. Patches on the airframe, real markings from my squadron, a true bureau (serial) number. I have plenty of pics. It will be a challenge.

by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
