Re: 2021 Trip To South Dakota
initial results from today's medical appoints have been a bit unexpected but not really surprising .... I figured that twisting my knee messed with tissues (ligaments, tendons, muscles, who know which
) .... to me the question centered around if it would take more than arthroscopic surgery to repair it .... well, the twist really aggravated some tissues, arthritic ones that have a strong hold .... at our next appointment in two weeks, he will see how what we are doing is working and make adjustments .... my family doctor has ordered some rather extensive, and yes rather unpleasant test on my digestive problem .... the really great news is, no significant surgical correction is needed
Re: 2021 Trip To South Dakota
Whats up with the Fridge? Any surgical correction for it?

Re: 2021 Trip To South Dakota
well, most of the medical test are in and most concerns have been taken care of .... one positive result answered a concern that we didn't even know was a concern .... more specifically, my first and only Covid test came back negative .... apparently in NC paranoia is pressuring test to be given even when there isn't a single relevant factor is observed .... as to valid concerns, the shot the orthopedists injected into my knee is really helping .... further, my "intestinal distress" has been greatly received .... on the got to get done list, our truck has passed its yearly required safety inspection .... its license tag will be renewed Monday and she'll be legal for another year .... most of the items we need to move in from our camper are now back in the house .... we plan to begin trouble shooting the electrical problem with the camper's Fridge on Monday

Re: 2021 Trip To South Dakota
we try to set our schedule for about 300 mile days over mostly to almost all interstate highways .... of course, the locations of the campgrounds is a big factor

Re: 2021 Trip To South Dakota
Going down to TX I’ll average about 310 a day. Coming back it will be about 135. Seven days down, four there and seventeen coming back. Trip is about 2245 miles each way.

Re: 2021 Trip To South Dakota
I'm absolutely delighted to be able to say the short in our camper's electrical system is fixed .... the problem turned out to be caused by a poorly repaired wire used in a repair years ago .... the wires were twisted together and taped .... over the years the tape dried out and the wires eventually worked loose .... for us that is a major reduction in stress
Re: 2021 Trip To South Dakota
Thats great news Jim. They guy who repaired it should have known better not to use tape. It all my wire repairs I use connector and then a heat shrink tube over the connector. This prevents situations like that.JEBar wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 12:13 pm

Re: 2021 Trip To South Dakota
for us, great news indeed .... my wife just came in and said that its cooling nicely ..... agree on it not being a good way to make electrical connections .... it was inside the camper's sealed underbelly so it hasn't been exposed to the elements .... in thinking back, that repair had to have been made something over 10 years ago .... that said, it was made by the dealership I worked for and I honestly find it difficult to believe the guys in the shop would make such a repair

Re: 2021 Trip To South Dakota
Good to hear it was an easy fix. Sometimes it can take ten hours to find a two minute fix.
