my hearing aids have a Bluetooth function but I have no clue or desire to have it working .... got word yesterday that I need to go back and have the custom part that goes into each ear remolded .... unsure what was wrong with the molds they made last week .... looking forward to getting them and putting them to use

Bluetooth isnt that complicated Jim. Pretty nice to be able to tune them yourself. Its so easy even a caveman can do it

tuning them may well be simple but there isn't any doubt that it would be more complicated than I can handle ..... just got back from having more molds made for the fitting that goes into each ear ..... should be ready in a couple of weeks

that's absolutely true .... I'm fond of the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" line of thinking .... they ain't broke but they probably would be if I messed with them

Blue tooth allows me to hear my phone through my aids as well as speak through them. Better sound.

The earpiece speaker in my phone is trashed. Having the phone bluetooth to the aids is great. I have no trouble hearing a call. In many cases I need to turn them down. Playing with functions on computers phones ect isnt going to break a thing. Thats just a fear many of us old farts have. These kids that can fix your issue in moments found out how to do it by playing with the functions.

today I returned to the Hearing Life store where we purchased my hearing aids .... a while back the lady we deal with made molds from which to make custom ear pieces .... have worn them for about an hour and can't help but be impressed .... as should be expected, they form a much better seal in the ear canal .... less (make that much less) background noise .... much clearer sound .... most noticeably, much louder sound that is going to take some getting used to .... my initial reaction is very favorable .... another appoiintment is scheduled for about a month at which time any adjustments that may be necessary will be made

Hope the new molds work out. Yes it is an adjustment to hear sounds that you haven't heard for some time.

Got new aids today. Jabra this time. Getting used to the new App but think they will work out just fine. Highs are sharper but my hearing has changed some and I am adapting pretty quickly. Sent the other pair in for a warranty service before it expires so I will have backups if something should happen.

Depends on how much yelling you can take from the head of the house. I finally cried Uncle and went and got some. I did have some issues at first with the aids but the lady at Costco who fit me to begin with was golden when it came to customer service. It is nice to be able to hear things I havent for quite a while

How old were the ones you sent in for warranty service Ernie? Wasnt aware of the warranty service part. Mine have a 3 year warranty 2 years of that is free replacement if lost or broken. Mine are the Jabra and I see the price has gone down about 200.00

3 year warranty ends in December. Got them back in one week. Now have a good spare pair. Costco does not accept insurance but I sent the required documents into BCBS and I am being reimbursed for the entire amount.
