To kick off this new section, I got some older pics of my garden and the old Allis Chalmers B212
tilling machine. She's not pretty, but does the job.
Yes Dave we do have some good soil,but a couple years ago had some sort of fungus and haven't
planted in a couple years. Hope to get it fixed for next season !
I think these pics are from our 2nd or 3rd year here.

More garden and harvest !!

That's a really nice size garden and a beautiful harvest, thanks. We only have limited space so we have a raised bed that runs along the back of the house and is about four feet out from the house. This year we had tomatoes, lettuce, green peppers, cucumbers and green beans. The beans did great this year. Sometimes, in the fall, I work some processed cow manure into the soil for the following year. We hold the topsoil in place with cinder blocks.

Here's my OLD cub, used before the Simplicity. Something wore out in the hydro trans shifter
and it got so loose you couldn't start it !! I had enough of fixing stuff every time I mowed, so
I retired it and LOVE the Simplicity About 1/3 the time w/less gas
The Cub was about a 1970 14hp, She lived her life.
Chopped up leaves yesterday and you can't tell today at all !!
Most are gone or not changing and still falling.

Don't abandon that Cubby. Rebuild it. Once an old Cub has been properly gone through they are reliable as an anvil. I'll try to get some pics up of mine soon.

I have not seen an AC tractor for a long time. My late husband helped his late Dad buy one years before he went into the service - Nam era.

DD, using a small area that is contained close to the house or in 'pots/containers' is easy to maintain and works well in smaller areas. It looks good to me too.

That looks like a modified pulling tractor, doing the tilling.
