Working in the Wisconsin yard.
Re: Working in the Wisconsin yard.
Smooth move Gene. The tractor, not your head. Dumbass.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

This rear blower sure would help. It was on the tractor when I bought it but was already sold to someone else. Chances are I’ll buy one this fall.

Good looking tractor Gene. Have you picked up any implements for it yet? I see a rotary mower in your future if all those beautiful green fields I see in some pics are yours.

I bought it mainly for the front bucket and to be able to put a snow blower on it. I only own five acres and will buy another lawn mower. It’s to big for five acres and too small for twenty.

Re: Working in the Wisconsin yard.
Nice looking tractor Gene! How much is the diesel fuel out there? I'm just using the Kubota around the home for grass cutting duty and hauling my push mower in the back of truck to my range property. I hitch up the mower to the back of the old lawn tractor I keep there.
Re: Working in the Wisconsin yard.
Check any farm stores that sell fuel. Here in Deer Park the feed store that also sells fuel has off road diesel which is about .40 cheaper that on road diesel. Being off road the taxes that support roads are removed from the price. Not a big deal for our little tractors but the local farmers buy it for their big stuff. It’s dyed red so if you run it in your on road vehicle it can be seen by law enforcement in the filter and that can get you an expensive ticket.

Can't go wrong with a snow blower. The bucket and blade are nice but you run out of places to put the snow. Not to mention burning fuel lugging it all over the place. Nice rig for sure.

That looks like a nice heavy duty snowblower but I'm not sure I would like running a rear mounted one, but I can see where the front end loader would come in handy if you had packed snow you need to move. Any way you could mount some mirrors on the tractor?
Can't tell from your photos, is the tractor 4 wheel drive?

Good point the rear mounted ones are tough on the neck.

The rear blower is half as much as the front and other than a sore neck it is better for traction ans maneuvering. Or so I’m told.RanchRoper wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 10:03 pmGood point the rear mounted ones are tough on the neck.

I can see that. Both the blowers I had at work were front mounts and you had to make pretty gradual turns or the front wheels would start sliding. Both tractors were 2 wheel drive, a 4 wheel drive would probably do better.Sir Henry wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 7:58 amThe rear blower is half as much as the front and other than a sore neck it is better for traction ans maneuvering. I'm not as flexible as I used to be and can't imagine doing a lot of snowblowing twisted around in the seat, that why I was thinking it would be helpful if you had some mirrors on the tractor.

The tractor also needs a cup holder.dave77 wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 10:23 amI can see that. Nice tractor Gene. It should do a lot of work for you.
I'm glad you didn't hit your head on the ROPS.
Send some pictures when you are working it.
