How do you pronounce "lever action"?

Is it Leever? or is it Lever? I watched the Hickok45 video that Sir Henry posted where he says "lever". I've always said, "Leever". The dictionary says in England it is pronounced "Leever". In America, it is either lever or leever. So, which do you say?

Just curious. Either way, I love the lever action... and will probably always call it a "leever" action. Habits are hard to change.

I say lever just cuz of the word leverage.

But if my gal was cheatin' on me I'd leever.

I am a member of the lever club. It is springtime so I guess you could say the trees are leevers.

Being from the South, I type lever action when discussing my Henry. However, when I speak, it come out leever. Yeah, I do have a bit of a Southern Drawl and the vowels are some...well...most of the time prolonged. Y'all use lever or leever, I will be able to understand!!!

Only a southern gal can make the word hey into a three syllable word.
