Good info. Thanks. Think I'll do my best to try to just keep it dry. :)

A Laminate stock with free floated barrel like Boyd's is the perfect hunting rifle stock in my opinion . They don't absorb moisture like a wood stock . The bedding don't change like a plastic or fiberglass stock do in temperature changes . So taking you rifle from a nice warm , dry cabin and go out to hunt in wet or cold weather the POA WILL change . Now shooting a deer size animal under 200 yds should not be a problem with any stock . But long shots at coyote , rabbits or prairie dogs over 200 yds . A small POA changes are is big deal . So sighing your rifle in 90 degree weather then take hunting below 32 degree your POA will be a big different anyway for many reasons . :D I built this rifle

I have sighted all my rifles in in the shade so to speak. I've found that laying a rifle in the sun will change the POA a lot.

A lot of barrel makers straighten a bent barrel after drilling it before rifling it and some do it after rifling it and when a barrel gets hot it has a memory and goes back to the bend form and when it cool off it goes back to the straighten form again . Also a free floating unstraighten barrel don't care if it is hot or cool and the POA should not change .
