New mini FINN

Cathy has been admiring my mini FINN Hunter for a while now. So I got her one for Christmas. Hope she likes it.

A good knife is a good thing.. good job on your part. I'm sure she will be pleased.
I saw a custom skinner I liked on gun broker. Bid on it ..thought I had it but lost out at the end. Looked on eBay for similar blades...didn't see anything, found some by a knife maker in newfoundland Canada that looked a little bit like it....went on line and asked him if I sent him a picture if what I was wanting could he make one like it.....he said yes he could....the knife he made was not exactly like the one I was after. But it's close...iron wood handles. D2 steel.....nice enough I ended up having him make one for me and one for my son for Christmas....they are shipping today.....
Yep...a nice knife is a good thing.....
That's a nice looking knife you are giving her.....she is going to be happy with you...good man you be....😀👍

You are correct. It is small enough that it is a great paring knife. I use mine for most everything when camping. It takes place of my pocket knife everywhere except work where I am not allowed to have it.

Glad you found one you like Ozarkwoodswalker. "A good knife to s a good thing".
I had the larger version Case Hunter before but I dropped it and it hit on a square edge and snapped in 1/2. I got the Smooth Rosewood Ridgeback soon after.

Looks very similar to a Case I bought sometime back in the '70s or '80s. I don't wear a sheath knife much so it's almost like new, it will take a very sharp edge.

Might have to pick one up, didn't realize how small it is until I looked at Case's site. Really like the one with the Buffalo horn handle.
