I've done some leather work over the years this is a first design of a lace-up leather wrap on my 22lr Octagon.

I like leather wraps for lever actions. With the Henry H001 you can use your middle finger to push forward and down to give a shorter stroke. The wrap just makes it easier on your finger.

Very nice! Image

I've tried a few different wraps on my H001T, but they don't come close to yours. I guess I need a lot more practice! ;)

I think sometimes it's helpful to know if the poster is a lady or a guy :D

I was also wondering if you thought this would clash with my mauve nail polish :D

Either way, nice wrap, and x2 what SirH said about the cushioning effect.

You could use spaghetti cord in any color say to match your nails, eyes or your evening dress.

No, I've got contacts for the eyes, but having to change my nail color is a "Huge" microaggression.

I have found that an extention of leather on front part of the lever throw is necessary to protect that middle finger knucle.

I have best success with the 3 finger lever as well. I tried a lever wrap, but I got used to shooting my 1860 without it.

The lever wrap I like it and I use it for fill . That way in my speed runs I don't have any up and down play and allow me a more positive feel . Remember I'm cowboy action shooter and not a hunter .

For speed, I can definitely see how shredded knuckles would be the end result without a wrap. :D

After some experimentation I've ended up using buffalo hide to wrap all my levers. It has the softness of dear skin but it's tuff.

The wrap on the Big Boy hasn't been treated with Whites Leather preservative the other has.
