I absolutely love to fish. I think I finally have all of the fishing rods and reels that I'll ever need. Lol
However, I'm always checking out new bait choices.

I have not fished in a few years but always enjoyed it.
My young neighbor, who is away at college right now is an avid angler. When he gets home, he wants to take me out with him.
Looking forward to it!

Just so you know. I hold the title of " The World's Worst Fisherman" and I won't give it up easily.

Haven't done much of it the past couple years, but I plan on doing some here real soon.
Told my buddy Eric I wanted to do some this year, he said well bring @$$ on over here.
But I'll be catfishin, over on the Tennessee.

Stiff competition for that title Wiz. In my family, the women catch more and bigger fish. I've gotten used to it.

The running joke in our family?
Miss Tina catches the fish... what I catch is BAIT.
Yeah, yeah. I catch a good'n now and then, but Miss T can catch them anytime and anywhere.

I do believe is the fishing is off, she just whistles and they jump in the boat.

I do rule in the fly fishing department, although Tina is a MUCH better fly tier.

Miss T and I are hoping to get out quite a bit this year. The last two years, we didn't make it out much do to health and extreme heat during the summer. Old fogies don't breathe well in 100+ temps, and the big bass don't tend to feed.

You folks are welcome to come upend fish with us on our private access, 77 acre north woods lake. Never gets much above the 80s in the summer. Shallow, stream and spring fed lake, perfect for canoe or kayak. Lots of bass, bluegill, crappie, northern. Some of our neighbors fish a little, but have gone a whole year of fishing the lake and never seeing anyone else fishing.

I will be up in Lac du Flambeau in the third week of May to visit Flora's dad. Only a couple of days though. Just have to fish the Rez. But thanks for the offer.

The bass fishing has been good this year here in SW FL. I have taken well over 100 fish this year fishing once or twice a week. Most bass average 4-6 pounds (and yes they are weighed with a digital scale) with some topping 8 pounds. Still looking for the 10+ pounder. All our fish are caught on artificials and released. I do have an advantage here though as Florida bass are believed to be a separate subspecies and tend to grow larger. Thanks to Red TIde and Toxic Algae I have stopped fishing salt water and concentrate on bass which is much cheaper and a lot of fun. I live on a large canal system that opens into several large ponds and flows like a slow river. Slide the canoe in with the trolling motor early in the morning, fish for 2-3 hours and call it a day. Some days I fish for 15-20 minutes in my back yard before work and catch stuff like this....
