May 1st, 1860 after a long dry spell...
There's a bad bandit roaming the territory so headed out to track him down. Need that gold coin reward. I am a little rusty after a layoff for a couple of months. Did some 25 and 50 yard work with my 1860 Henry 45 Colt. Open sights. Shooting some 200 gr LRNFP with 7.0 gn of Universal. Nice load to shoot as always and my rifle worked great. 60F with a bit of a cross breeze so a little Kentucky windage applied. Burned through 50 rounds pretty quick today.
and my trusty rifle of course....
Hope you enjoyed the pics, never did get that hombre though...he zigged when I needed him to zag.
shoot safe, it's good to be back! RR

.
Seriously? Only a $1000!
On the shooting, don't see no rust. Looks darn good to me.

Good to see you back in the groove. Enjoy the spring buddy. Know you have a lot of work to do.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Don't want you on my trail if I turned outlaw. Glad you got out. Bill and i are still a bit leery about visiting our club range and maybe mixing with people we don't know, but we're going to give it a try, soon. If the range is crowded, we can always wait for a time when there are fewer people. We have a number of new guns we acquired over the winter that need to be put though their paces. All of our shooting during this pandemic has been at home with the airguns.
