Shooting the Henry and Hi Point carbines today..

Had a couple of things to test today...my improved mounting bracket for the brass catcher which now fits my Henry lever rifles and the
HiPoint 45 carbine...and more target work with my .44 Mag 240 gr MB bullet loaded over 18.5 gr. of Alliant 2400

Really like that load and it shoots well out of the Henry and my S&W M69 revolver. In the revolver it kicked a bit less than the hot 180
XTP bullet loaded with 24.5 gr. of 2400. Think this will be my main load for .44 Magnum now.
Took a few shots at the paper target from 25 yds. standing with the Henry 44 Carbine using that load and was happy to see that good 3 shot
group.
Then it was all just shooting the steel with two target areas setup where I could swing from one to the other.

The brass catcher worked great with both the Henry and the Hi Point catching all brass and no issues with the new low profile
mount blocking any sight view. Easy to swap between rifles. https://youtu.be/U1wPRp-C7rg

50 yd. shots with Henry Carbine on steel plates https://youtu.be/abKaX8pJmHQ

Weather was great with no gusty winds for a change. Enjoyed the afternoon!

One day I will find a better editing program for my GoPro so I can edit all these videos into one.
On my old computer the GoPro Edit program worked great with many editing options. When I loaded my GoPro up to my new computer
I got something totally different with out any basic editing options. Will have to fix that!

Came back and watched the videos. Liked the one where you left the camera close enough we could see the hits. That HP Carbine looks like its as much fun as the PC 40 carbine I have. Thanks for the videos. Good shooting to I like your range set up

Last weekend I shot the same 2 guns I own! Great minds think alike. I am <ahem> uhh.. well.. not quite as accurate a shot as you however. (Sights musta' been bent or somthin'!)

forty, your videos and commentary are always a hoot. Really enjoy them. Very good shooting, especially with the .45acp at distance. Impressed!

Thanks and glad you enjoy watching Rifletom! That Eotech sight on the HP carbine really helps make quick work on targets.
I'm using 6.3 gr. of Unique on the .45 ACP loads gives good accuracy but is a bit dirty in chamber and on the magazines.

Yes sir....both those carbines although worlds apart are great shooters! That Hipoint just keeps running with no feed or ejection issues so far.
Cleaning has amounted to just a Ballistol spray in ejection port and a swab with Q tips and maybe a bore snake once so far.
Best 300 buck or under carbine out there!

Thanks Al! A bit of work to set everything up. I unlock my target shed and load up my wheel barrow with the steel and place them around.
