Just got back from he local range after shooting my .357 BBS Carbine. First, I found mine does NOT like Geco FMJ flat point ammo. I got one jam and 10 out of 100 required manipulating the lever to get them to feed. I had no such issues with my BBS .45 Colt when shooting round nose lead ammo. Curiously, 50 rounds of the same brand (Geco) of 158 grain round nose lead .38 Special loads fed with no issues! And...recoil with those loads was hardly noticeable. Accuracy with the .357 ammo was excellent, just around an inch at 25 yards with the sights as they came out of the box!! The .38 Specials shot about 2 inches low.

I have the exact same carbine and it really likes the American Eagle 158 grain sjhp rounds.

Sounds like a great time of shooting with that .357 BBS! Think I will bring my .357 BB out Sunday to do some plinking.
Found a box of 125 gr. Remington JSP that I didn't know I had and will shoot those for more brass for those delightful
MB 180 gr. mini hammers!
If you start reloading those 180's work really well in the Henry!

Yup outside of a healthy charge of 2400 and a good ole Hornady 158 gr xtp bullet that 180 is about the best shootin load Ive found for my 357's
