My hubby and son are sick with a cold, and I'm not feeling it yet. My better half kicked me out, and forced me to go to the range with the new rifles. Yes he helped me pack my ammo and car. Oh darn....
First up, the Marlin 22, accurate easy shooting did not fully eject spent casings 3 times. I easily put 50 rounds through it probably a whole lot more.
My new Henry 75 rounds seized 3 times. The first time it seized shut for about 1 -1.5 minutes after 15-20 shots. The next time was 10 shots seize for ten seconds, 5 shots seize ten seconds. After that smooth sailing all the way through. Again smooth action, accurate out of the box. Still cautious, I will have to beat it non stop next trip to make sure the kinks are gone for good.
Still not sick.

A huge shout out to Point blank Hodgkins I only purchased a 1 hour block and they let me stay there over my hour

Interesting and thanks for the report. Seems like pretty good shooting too! The seizing seems odd. Yet, it seems like you are making process. I recall my Marlin got hung once last time I was out. It happened when I was chambering the first round. I assumed something did not travel well during the cycling of the lever. After ejecting that round, things cycled smoothly. Like you pointed out, your next outing will shed more light of the subject.

Glad you made it out, Dahlia, and hope you get through your cold in short order. That's nice work with both rifles. Which Marlin model were you shooting, by the way?

North country girl: I'm still not sick, which is why the better half put me out so I wouldn't. I am shooting a Marlin model 60.
Thanks guys! I think that's some of my best shooting. Both rifles out of the box, not even sighted yet. Just had to see how they handle.

On a separate note, please pray for us. We have a high profile case being tried close to home. This is a racially charged case and we are nervous of the outcome.
