After all the discussion about 1860's today, I had to go & shoot!
I was not very satisfied with my shooting the last couple of outings, and tonight went to work on my tendency to pull left before it gets to be a bad habit. Had the range to myself at sunset, real nice evening. Breeze was about 20 mph from the northwest. I am shooting west to east. Shooting 250 gr Wolf ammo LFN. My 1860 Cimarron Uberti Henry in 45 Colt. Both targets are off hand standing @50 yards.

First a look at the gorgeous sunset tonight at the range; 36 rounds; started to go left but made some corrections. I think I pull left when I don't squeeze off the shot carefully. That's my issue with a lever action, it is too darn easy to go all "Rifleman".... Last 14 rounds I did better I think (had to use the small binoculars for the first couple of shots cuz I ran out of splash targets so I had to see where I was hitting before firing off the rest of the rounds...but all are off hand standing. Hope you enjoyed the report as much as I did shredding the paper for it.

I went shooting today to. I was thinkin about RR when I pulled out my trusty SCG 22LR. What a great rifle it is. Last 2 outings I had the Marlin 39a out. I know alot of people love there 39a but that SGC action just puts that Marlin so far in the back seat you need some binos to see the driver in the front. RR you need a SGC. Oh by the way as always nice job. Im not much for shredding paper but I chased a pop can along ways today with the SGC and the uberti 357.

That pop can probably had it coming.

Never have had a range visit near sunset...you have posted both some beautiful sky shots, and plenty of great shots placed in those targets, RR.
Even as you work on your "pull to the left," your POIs are quite nicely placed in the bulls. You have those firearms pegged.

Fantastic all the way around. Those are mad skills at 50 yds, standing. Not to mention the wind. Thanks for sharing.
