Time for some old time revolver work. No rifle today, just me and my 1871 Colt Richards conversion revolver. 8" barrel in 45 Colt. Just 1 target today shooting 1 handed at 20 yards. Range to myself again, very smoky today.

Ammunition is Sellier & Bellot 250 gr LFN. Nice consistent ammo. 25 rounds. 2 in the 9 hole, 21 in the 4x6 oval, 7 on the orange bullseye and 2 weird missing ones that hit the wood but not the paper (?). Just to keep me humble I guess.

Revolver is great fun to shoot! And the bad guy's view of the business end of my historic cowboy sidearm... Hope you enjoyed my little report.

Just like every other report you've filed, I totally enjoyed this one, too. POV from the bad guy toward RanchRoper the Sharpshooter would have had most men shaking in their boots just before the undertaker planted them in boot hill.

At 20 yards that is some seriously good shooting.

You win the classy rating for your range reports, RR. They're works of art compared to my more nuts and bolts type reports. Love them. That is some super one handed work, by the way. I know what a challenge that it is.

That's because my knowledge of firearms wouldn't fill your coffee mug...your reports are very informative.

But I sure do like my 45 Colt time machines....

I thought I responded to this, guess I never hit submit, but amazing shooting RR. I think you and NCG kind of stand apart in the realm of offhand shooting. I do about as well with a rest and sights

I also like the change up on the avatar picture. Another good choice.

That's just crazy good shooting and the new avatar is sure to become a Henry forum classic, even though there's not a rifle in sight! Simply fantastic all around.

That actually reminds me of the V notches on the old Lugers. I have a P-08 replica (air gun) and I find they work pretty well. I seem to do better with the V than the U on the single actions but hard to tell. Your shooting says a lot, though.

I think that little bit of extra distance from sight to sight helps a bit.
