Northern AZ range

I found the range near my new place. I tested some CCI select, Stingers, and that Aguila super standard velocity on my self healing target. The aguila doesn’t seem to hit as hard as the CCI quiet longs. The select and CCI stangers worked very well in Tee Boy, my H001T. The Stingers do not jam up the magazine follower rod and boy do they shoot straight and hit HARD at 50+- yards. What are some of you folks’ opinions on the mentioned ammo?

Intersting range, it must be a chore keeping your ammo from rolling off the table.

Unfortunately very 'New' West with all the trash lying around. Might be a good place to organize a cleanup with other users - if that could ever be accomplished.

Looks similar to the one I used while in San Diego. I thought it was cool at the time but required some cleanup. As I recall, I took my trash with me. As far as the rounds go, I have not used any of those. But, it seems like the Strangers works for you.

Yeah, have seen way too many ranges that get trashed out like that. Was at our range, just yesterday, and spent a half hour just picking up trash.

As for the stingers, never had much luck with them in the accuracy department, at least in the guns we shoot, so have never had much interest. We're strictly target shooters, now, so the SV stuff suits us just fine. If we hunted, though, might be a different story.

For us, Aquila ammo, in general, has been a mixed bag. Some of our guns like certain loads and some just the opposite. Have no hesitation buying it when we can get a good price. Reliability has been pretty good.

CCI, across the board has been much more consistent for us. Be careful with those Quiet loads. We've had one or two squib loads with them. Bullet didn't make it all the way out the barrel. Others have, too.

For the most part, our range is pretty tidy. The odd time I'll show up and somebody left their .22 brass everywhere, but not very often.

Everyone that lives in the area uses it. I’m looking in to getting with the guys from work to build a combat pistol/rifle range. That would be a great time to do a cleanup

Good for you. All it takes is a couple of people to take some ownership and soon others will want it clean too.

What are some of you folks’ opinions on the mentioned ammo?

I've shot a lot of CCI 22 LR Mini Mag. Love em. Hit where I aim. Never had a misfire.

I like Stingers and have used them for decades .... with a long history of rabies popping up from time to time, I keep a 22 handy to deal with wild dogs and cats that frequent our area .... at such times, Stingers most certainly hit hard and shoot straight
