Bet that title made you look!
Well today it was go big or go home. Some old time frontier shooting with my 1860 Henry in 45 Colt. No 25 or 50 yd warm up. 50 rounds on one 8 inch target at 100 yards. That was my buffalo today. Anything in the black was meat on the table and a new buffalo coat for the winter.

Sellier and Bellot 250 gr LFN. Open ladder sights on the first notch. On 1 knee. 29F and snowing those little pellets that bounce off the ground. I think I got all 50 on the paper but not all in the circle. The snow was an added challenge. Cold grey December day but good cowboy fun!
JEBar pls straighten my target photo!

I see that snow right now coming down on your rifle. Nice shooting as always looks like that new ammo might be a keeper. Did you shoot any at 50 to compare it to your fav?

I think the Winchester Super X 250 gr LFN out performs pretty much anything I shoot so far. But it's a close call between that and the Black Hills or S&B. Very close.

You are awesome. Thanks, RR. It will be another month or so, but I can't wait to get to the range and shoot some indoor squirrels and rabbits!

Looking forward to those critters/targets. Beware the Smokewagon!

I'll take a knee to your shooting, sir.

Impressive, as always, and in the true cowboy up tradition with those conditions.
P.S. Can we borrow you to take some pics of our guns? You d have the knack.

Haha, no worries, I work cheap; bowl of soup and a hot coffee is my winter seasonal rate. Thanks for the kind words.
