Sharps, 45-70

Two weeks ago found me on the range with my son and two grandsons. We went primarily to do some plinking with .22s, my Frontier LB was right on as usual and this will probably be the last time it is used with the factory sights, I'm putting a Marbles tang sight and a Lyman front globe sight on it. I drug the Sharps along without planning on shooting it, but succumbed to temptation when the longer range targets were up for practice. No scope on it yet so I had to use the factory iron sights. To make a long story short longest target is 500yds, metal plate 18" diameter. I'm 72yo and can still ring the gong, what a feeling. Really starting to enjoy getting back into shooting after many years away.

Good for you. We oldsters can still show the youngsters a thing or two.

Lots of love for single shots with this gal. Post away about that Sharps, anytime.

I've found that a Marbles tang and Lyman globe is the best combination of iron sights. It can easily cut your group size in half over stock Henry sights.
