I was looking through old photos in a folder I store things in that I've posted on the forum. It was interesting to see 50 yd targets from the time I bought my 1860 Henry to recently. April this year to now. Various wind speeds, mostly Winchester 250 gr LFN ammo, lots of early shots pulling left but I do see some improvement over time. They are not all the targets from these months, but a good cross section of what I thought was my best effort at the time. As mentioned before, the wind is a handful out here, and it plays hell with 45 Colt lead. Anyhow, I'll keep on shootin'.

Don't mean to start controversies about "who's the best shooter" here, but that last target is pretty amazing, RR.

And to think it's a gun pretty much out of antiquity..............

tip of my hat to you .... I do admire your off hand shooting ability ....

..and then sometimes you get a real crappy target and you're left scratching your head; too much caffeine, not enough, wrong socks that day, ???

It truly is a competition with yourself as NCG suggested in another thread. Just keep putting lead down range I guess is the answer!

Yup, keep shooting. That's the idea. Nice work.

I will take that last target under those conditions any day! I probably can't do that offhand with iron sights at 25 yards, much less 50.
