Here are all the parts that came with
a "perfect" day!
Weather: low 70s, blue sky & sunny, zero wind = perfectly pleasant!
Ammo: Remington Golden Bullet HV (90 rounds), 40gr PLRN.
Targets: The usual homemade, reused-splash targets. Perfectly-filled today with a bunch of nice POIs.
Range distances: 15, 25, 50 yards.
Rifle: Henry SGC that performed flawlessly. 90 rounds with no FTFs, no misfires, and no FTEs. Perfect & butter-smooth lever action.
Stance: off hand only.
PT7: The shooter walked away from the range perfectly content, and with a wide smile all the way home.

Great weather, rifle and shooting. Doesn't get any better than that. Good for you, PT.

All very respectible PT, especially the 25yd target.
We're still in the mid 90s; waiting to get a few of those perfect days down here.

Thanks for report and pictures!
Never saw a thumbscrew locking screw on a Skinner sight - must be a add on?

Yup, this is an add-on, Steve.
Skinner Sights calls it a "Knurled Knob" or "Thumb Screw." It replaces the elevation locking screw on the peep sight. On the Skinner web site, you'll find the part listed on this page:

The 25-yard target was my particular focus,
Henry. I've not hunted rabbits before, and a friend said we can do some hunting together this fall. That distance seemed to be a good place to start. The 15-yard target was to satisfy my curiosity on the SGC's accuracy, and I was most pleased. Hang in there; the cooler weather is on the way!

Thanks,
NCG. I've
seldom (if ever) had a "bad" day shooting this accurate Henry SGC. Again it was excellent to handle, and fit so easily in my hands I almost didn't know it was there!

Yes, it "doesn't get any better" from loading the ammo, then shooting, to sweeping up the brass, to cleaning the rifle!!
Most of all,
off hand shooting for me is very
special stuff!

Hey,
Sir Henry. I think that in the many months you've posted your Range Reports and also hiking journeys, I've read about some excellent days that you've had. I hope another one crops up for you
real soon!!
Take good care.
