Cowgirl Corner: Hit the CZ jackpot

Post by North Country Gal » Sat Aug 12, 2017 7:16 pm

Found a mint condition CZ 452 Trainer at our local pawn shop, this week. Gun actually shows no sign of having been fired. Price was good. Made in 2010, A series serial number. That's a nice vintage, too, because it has hand checkering. Love the figure on the beech stock. So... how could I not?

Did a quick trigger spring swap, last night and adjusted the trigger down under 2 pounds with no safety issues. Took it to the range, today, to get it sighted in with the tangent open sights. Nice groups, some just over half inch. Also brought along an old Ultradot 25 to try on the CZ. Why? Just because, I guess.

Did a little prelim adjusting on the red dot, up close, then shot this mind boggling group at 50 yards. ??? Just nuts.

Will likely put a peep on this one, but doubt I'll ever get lucky enough to shoot a group like this one, again, with a red dot. Oh, yeah, CZ jackpot time.

Beautiful wood on that rifle, NCG. And it doesn't make any difference what kind of sight you use....your targets look amazingly the same with those tight POIs!! Not mind-boggling --- that's "normal" for you. :D Great shooting.

I wonder why I see so few good-looking stocks on rifles in my area's gun shops? Maybe I don't look hard enough.....
You and Bandit (others, too) sure have had some excellent rifle finds you've shared with the Forum Folk. Keep 'em coming!

Great shooting as always.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
