Range Report: just shooting

Today was the first day I didnt work on the range before shooting. All I did was walk the paper out and stapled them to the plywood. With my elbows on the table I let ten rounds rip. Not the best of shooting at 40 yards but decent. On the left group in the eight ring I had three touching and one slightly above. The rest were me not concentrating.

It’s especially nice in the summer when the sun is in the north. In the winter the targets are usually in the shade. Top photo is the 40 yards line and and the bottom is at 50. In the winter I can load inside and shoot three feet from the door. Important when it’s-30F and I want to shoot.

I pulled the flash suppressor from the 10/22 Tactical and installed a noise suppressor and shot some HV rounds. I didnt wear ear protection and it wasnt very loud. I was reluctant to get a suppressor because I didn’t want to pay the $200 tax stamp and wait a year. With the $200 tax removed and the average week wait its now really worth it. If you were on the fence about buying one I think you will like them.
