Well had not been down to my range in a while and when I showed up a new troublemaker was looking to give me a tough time.
Had my little 45 Win Mag derringer and the 3 inch Schofield 45 Colt with me and a quick head shot with the derringer followed by 5 shots of Schofield took care of that big guy!
Made up a load that is pleasant to shoot in the derringer like a 230 gr. lead round nose over 5.5 of Red Dot which is all I need to keep the thing in my hand. The Uberti/Taylors and Co. Schofield is handy and shoots really well with a good trigger too with 3 good hits on the cowboy in neck yellow knot a area.

Holy cow forty you sure have lots of bad guys crawling out of the woods. Glad you were well prepared to defend yourself. I’m thinking his singing carear is finished with those neck shots.

Thanks! I bought that last year while searching for a short barrel one in 45 Colt. Has a great trigger and not so heavy a hammer pull for quick follow up shots plus loved the deep blue look with the white grips!
