Mostly shooting steel today but a few on paper at 100 yds just for fun. Not my best but got ‘em in the black.
All shots off hand, fixed primitive sights.

With holes that big you only need to hit it once.

I have to agree with both of the above.

Offhand at 100 yards with a muzzle loader, and a flintlock to boot. You belong with the best of them from that era.

Great to see you get out and make those great shots RR! Is there a correction factor if you are out of the black due to high heat and humidity?
No shooting going on at my place due to the tropical weather down here. See you in September! :D

Excellent. Most folks would be happy with that shooting at half the distance. Great work RR.

As far as any correction goes, for me it’s all breathing, trigger touch, and follow through.

I have taught myself to hold on target until the smoke clears. If I do that, things mostly go well.

Shot my Henry 1860 tonight for first time in ages. Did ok rang some steel at 50 to 100 yds.

But I shoot my flintlock better. Who would think that? I get way more 100 yd hits with the flintlock than I did with the Henry.

Can’t help it. I’ve moved too far into the past to come back now. :)

I shot some reloads I did in 2019. 6.7 grains Universal with a 250 gr LRNFP bullet. Sounded like a pop gun compared to the black powder charges.
