Got down to the range to Fam Fire a new addition to the Stable, A Big Snake added to the trio. I now have the 22 Caliber Colt Diamondback, in 4" Blue and 6" Nickel... A 6" Stainless 357 Python, and the latest addition, a 6" Stainless 44 magnum Anaconda. :o

The big snake is a beauty, and I was able to find a box of 44 special and a box of 44 mag, but in Cowboy action loads. They wouldn't be howling mad loads, which with my Arthritis, I didn't need. The seller, wanted me to complete my Trio and knew that I wouldn't be Dirty Harry, carrying the gun as my daily carry. ;) I did want to shoot the gun, however, and slipped down to the range today, but didn't drag out a bunch of targets and frames since it was just a Familiarization Firing. I wanted to see how she shot.

I fired 12 rounds standing with two hands with the 44 special, and then followed up with 12 rounds of 44 mag. All rounds were fired from 20 yards at the Steel b27 target, and I fired six in the head with the 44 special the other eighteen into the center mass of the body. Nary a miss. :) The pic below shows the hits, they are the brightest lead on the steel. I didn't attempt to shoot for groups, I fired double action, shooting smoothly as the sights came on target. When the weather improves, I will shoot for accuracy, setting up targets on target frames. I might buy some actual "Magnum" loads just to see how the gal roars.

With a couple speedloaders, she might be a nice backup for my car gun on a long trip. ;)

Good looking revolver, and I like the whole tangle you've amassed.

Very nice looking and shooting Snake Gun BM! Is that the older model or one of the 2022 versions? As you know I had a new and loved how it shot and I could shoot it better in DA mode. Get a good grip and hold very steady and I once got 4 shots in same hole but that was close in like 15 ft when practicing for my pumpkin shoot but still very cool! Had to let it go because the thing was beating itself up with mostly mid level 44 Mag loads...increasing end shake and I could not fix that with shims. Looks like you shoot it very well too!

Looks great BM. I hope you dont have any issues with it. My neighbors son bought one of the newer ones and it went back to Colt soon after he got it.

It's one of the older models. I don't plan to shoot it a lot, the seller wanted to complete my trio. LOL. I have bought some rare guns from his collection, that I'll shoot now and then, but mostly enjoy owning and preserving. :D
