Some 38 Long Colt fun today....

Well actually it is my 38 Special load in 38 Long Colt brass and to make it work I seat the MB 158 gr. RNFP in the top of the vacant lube groove. Why do I do this you ask? Because I like the name 38 Long Colt much better for my cowboy type guns than 38 Special.
Anyway the shootin' irons were the 1872 Colt Open Top with 4 3/4 barrel chambered for 38 Colt/Special and my Henry 357 Carbine a really fine looking and shooting rifle. The target shows hits from both from 12 yds with the 6 shooter and 30 yds with the Henry. That Uberti OT is a sweet shooter and best one I have in SA! I use same revolver for 44 Special with just a cylinder and barrel swap which is cool to have.
After the target shoot using 38 Long Colt in both I bumped up to the famous 180 gr. Pugs for the Henry Carbine and they shoot just as well really nailing the steel. Just a fun November afternoon in the woods!
