This 2" version of the Model 63 did about what I expected it to do given its superb trigger in both SA and DA. The only negative was some sticky extraction, so the chambers might get some polishing. Plenty accurate, though. This was shooting in SA at a one inch dot.

Next up is a semi-auto I bought over the summer, just in case I ever need to carry for self-defense purposes. I was carrying a revolver, but I have always been more accurate with an autoloader and, of course, I get a lot more capacity with a modern autoloader, in this case 15 rounds instead of the 6 that I got with the old revolver.
Allow me to introduce my Kimber KDS9c 9mm auto.
This Kimber auto is basically a modernized 1911 updated to have a double stack mag and no grip safety, but otherwise the usual 1911 slide release and hammer safety. I've never liked the 1911 grip safety, so all the better. Given it's a fully modern carry gun, the trigger on this Kimber is awesome. It's designed for fast shooting. It pulls just under 4 pounds, no creep with a reset that is super fast and positive. And the accuracy is competition grade all the way. I just stick the front sight in the black and the Kimber does the rest. This KDS9c really is one of the easiest to shoot pistols I've ever shot.
I'm a pretty fair shot using a DA revolver, but not this good and not this fast. It's why I switched to this Kimber.
