Plinking day two

Day two of plinking was 357 day +1 (again) I brought my Henry BBS 357 and my S&W 686. Two of my most favorite firearms.
The plan was to mow down bowling pins which both did with authority. Shooting off hand from 15 yards the 686 couldn’t miss (mostly
). Backing up to 25 yards the 686 still did great but not quite as great. A few more misses. I shot my reloads in both 38 special and 357. Those mild 38’s with plated bullets are just down right fun to shoot. Of course in that heavy 686 even the full power 357’s are a joy to shoot.
Next up was the Henry BBS. Moving back to 25 yards was no issue with it. It’s scoped and just can’t miss at 25. It’s fun to shoot five pins as quickly as possible. I wanted my wife to shoot it so set the bench up for her as there was no way she would be able to shoot it offhand. At 25 off the bench she couldn’t miss and had a big grin on her face. Fun to watch those pins fall over. I told her that my opinion was that a 357 carbine is more fun than girls and she replied that she wouldn’t know.
15 yard pins and 25 yard pins.
The +1 was again the Ruger Single Seven. Previously I shot it at 15 yards and was very happy with the new rear blade. Shooting it here at 25 yards from a rest the group opened up quite a bit. But not nearly as bad as I did from 25 with the old rear blade. I’m wondering if this gun is just not a 25 yard shooter (or most likely me) or do I need to redo my load from 25. I’m shooting the milder 32 H&R loads for these tests. I should give the 327 Fed Mags a try from 25 as they should be much flatter shooting. I’ll probably devolope a load using 327 brass and data for my longer range shooting.
25 rested yards. The shot at the top was a called “oops”. My aim point was the center of the four bullseyes. Should had used a better target.
Another fun day of plinking and I sure get a kick out of watching my wife enjoying herself and her success shooting
