Temps in the 50's, set up camp for a few days and did some buffalo hunting. Pedersoli Frontier .50 cal.
130 yds off hand, primitive sights, 67 year old eyes. Dead center, straight through the heart.

Rang a bunch of other steel too 50-130 yds.

Love the buffalo target RR and great shooting! I'm having fun tinkering with my 1851 .36 cal Pepperbox blaster. Ordered a paper cartridge kit to roll my own!

I have both my flintlock and caplock sights dialed in now. If I miss it’s all me.

Nice offhand shooting with iron sights. At 130 yards I might be able to hit it using a bench and glass.

Was that a Flinter shot or a capper shot. Either way great shooting. How big is the Buff?

Buffalo is about half of the size or less of a real one I’d figure. That was the caplock. That metal disc is maybe 10”.
