What to do with 2 clamps + plywood

What else but to make a easily portable and light weight target stand. I have a bunch of these cheap Jorgenson bar clamps and some scrap ply (1/4" in this case), so this is the result. Clamps are about 3" up from the bottom so that the stand tilts slightly away from the shooter for better stability in a light breeze. Other configurations are up to you.

Good idea Gunny. I have a few bar clamps. That's a quick and easy set-up.

This is obviously for the backyard shooters. I just set it up for a session and don't leave it the yard since I have to mow out there. I've looked at all the other DIY target stand plans made from PVC, or other materials that claim to be easily assembled, but they all looked much too complicated and expensive to suit my need. Those clamps can be had for about $10 each at Lowes or HD, and sometimes for a dollar or 2 at yard sales. If it's windy you can use landscape staples to nail them down to the ground.

Genius, sheer genius. Of course I just gave away a bunch of bar clamps. But they went to my son so I know where they are.

Yes genius. That's what geniuses do. Figure out smarter ways to do things because they are lazy.

This is just the basic concept of course. If you, or anyone else, comes up with modifications/improvements to suit your particular needs I hope y'all share them with the members. No need to ask permission from me, or contribute to my retirement fund.
