Yesterday I worked on my range a bit leveling the dirt in front of the backstop. Earlier when I set up my pins or target stand I had a pretty good slope right to left. All is good now. Both my Henry Big Boy 357 and my Marling 39-A need scope adjustments so I got that done. Not my best shooting but good enough for now. Last time I shot my 39 I accidentally moved the exposed turret on the elevation. It was sighted in at 50 yards and the indicator on the elevation turret was at 150 yards. I took a shot anyway and yep, as you can see on the target it was very high. Moved the turret back to 50 yards and I was right there. Did a few minor adjustments and all the ground squirrels in the pasture started crying

.
Next up was the Henry 357 that I had pulled the scope off. It was pretty close with my remounting so just a few minor adjustments.
Next I set up five bowling pins and shot them offhand at 25 yards. Hit them all and did it again. (Not too difficult at 25 with a scope) Next time I’ll move further out. First five shots I shot very slowly lowering the rifle after each shot. The second five I kept the rifle on my shoulder shooting faster.
Today I think I’ll do some handgun work with the CZ 9mm and the S&W 686.
