I have a lot to do today but wanted to get some shooting in before work started. Sometimes I don’t know what I’m going to shoot until I open the drawer. This time my Mares Leg Charger caught my eye.

A few seconds later I’m outside shooting spinners offhand at 40 yards. Wish I could report I was “Deadeye” this morning but I couldn’t hit the two inch spinner even once out of 30 tries.

Two inch spinners offhand at 40 yards is not easy, but good for you for taking up the challenge.

Thanks. I was able to hit it sitting with elbows on the table.
It was missing the front hood so I ordered one from eBay. My front sight is not ramped like some of them.

I also ordered a spare extractor.

So far I’ve only shot this rifle for 15 minutes yet I’ve spent several hours researching it.

Yeah, but researching vintage guns is part of the fun.

The other part of the fun is fitting parts. I had to do some filing and bending to make the hood fit.
