A couple morning's ago I did a little comparison between the pistol calibered rifles with heavy cast.
Distance was 50 yds.
In the red is the MB Co 180gr pugnose, Rossi rifle.
That small dent in there is from a little ole 86gr 25-20, not heavy for it.
In the yellow circle is my own 270gr 41 mag. Henry BBS
The blue one is my 310gr 44 mag. Heavy BBB.
The pink/purple one is MB Co. 325 gr. from another Rossi.

Then for giggles the black circle is my 200gr from one of the Marlin 35 Rem.

Couple of good dents on the back side, but the only one to punch through both ends was the 35.

Well looks like the larger bullet diameter makes the bigger hole except for the .45 that hit near edge. All good hits except the little guy.

I wasn't sure what to expect from it.
Yeah, I nearly missed with that 45, but man what an impact.
To hit on that edge like that, and the dent that it made and still the big ole hole.
And still retained over half of it's weight.
I need to measure the thickness of the tank.
