I went shooting today. Took out the Henry SS which I really like. Along with it the Ruger 357 Convertible. I just put a reflex sight on the single shot it has a green dot. I really like the green dot it is 3 MOA. I also like reflex better than a tube on the rifles because they just look clean. It took a few shots to get on paper with the strikers but once I did they didnt shoot bad outa the SS. 11.5 grains of 2400 and the strikers are 180gr. The hit the steel with authority. I shot a 5 shot group best I could shoot with these at 50 yards off the bench. The 3 MOA dot covers up the 3 inch red bull at 50 yards so you just gotta guess for center. After shooting this group I did make a few more adjustments

It would be fun to slap some pork with these 180's

Next target is the 140's at about 15 yards outa the Ruger Blackhawk. This Ruger shoots low. I have the rear sight adjusted all the way up dont dare go anymore or I will lose the elevation screw. Not sure what Im going to do as I dont really want to file the front sight to bad. I do know one thing this convertible is alot of fun shooting 9mm out of it for just plinkin. It shoots low there to but I just borrow a little wind from Kentucky and make an adjustment. We are able to slap the steel plates quite regular

Looking good Al! 180's with 11.5 2400 do wack the steel good for a 357. Can you replace the front sight with one shorter?

Maybe take it to a smith and have her/him shave 3/32” off the front site? Just thinking out loud.

Just dropped it off at a smiths house yesterday to do that. Hoping it works out as he sure did a nice trigger job on a Smith M&P 40 that had a 7lb trigger pull in it. It is now down to a little less that 5 and it has a great feel to it.
