Winter still, but not too cold. My Frontier flintlock at 100 yds off hand. Out of 7 shots I dinged a few off the 8" steel. Not my best outing but made lots of smoke so all good!

.480 patched lead ball
50 grains Schuetzen 3F powder

100 yards offhand with a flintlock, that's incredible shooting

As always, good shooting. I would probably do good just to hold it to my shoulder.

It is a long rifle in the truest sense. The longer you take to aim the wobblier it gets!

I may have asked before but is your barrel tapered or swamped? I know I had a hard time holding my long barreled 45 caliber steady for very long. I was a better shot with the much shorter 54 caliber I started out with but wanted a more traditional rifle for rendezvous's. I shot my friend's long barreled 50 caliber flintlock with a swamped barrel several times and it was much easier to hold steady.

No it’s not swamped. 39” steel pipe. :)

My longest barrel is 44" but is swamped. It holdes well for a short time.

Ive got a 44 inch barrel 50 cal that isnt swamped. Its not to bad really. the thing thats bad is Im 70 and I dont use the upper body as much as I once did. So holding that gun for a while isnt as good as it once was. Plus Im pretty sure RR is tougher than I am cause he is still a young punk compared to us old guys :D . Just sayin
