Wednesday at the range

I went to the range Wednesday morning and took 6 rifles. Mistake one! What a PITA to load all them in a standard cab truck with all my other junk I take. I got there unlocked the gate and then unloaded all my rifles and ammo and other stuff onto the table. I then went back to the truck for my drink and snack and sand bags. Mistake #2. No sand bags! Everything loaded back up and went home thinking how dumb that was to walk right past the bags and not remember to get them loaded in the truck. Got the bags and went back up and started all over again. I took a peep sighted 39A of my wife's and a Marlin 39 TDS a 336 35 Remington CZ 452 FS 22 Magnum 444 Marlin Savage 112 220 Swift. I shot the 444 in with the peep sight I just put on. If you are not completely awake the first round out of this thing will take care of that. Can't remember when I was belted this hard in a while. Then I went to the 35 Rem. with the pistol bullets. After that was the Marlin 39A of my wife's. This never has been a great shooter. Then I just did a little plinking with the tiny feeling TDS.(16 1/4" barrel) Then I shot the Swift to make sure it was on with the ammo I already have loaded at home for crows and other varmints. Here is some of the results.
The 39A at 50y with peep sight and cheap Blazers. After those eight shots moved it up and shot clay bird pieces at 50y and did O.K. on them. The two holes at the top were 9MM casings shot with the CZ FS 22 Mag. at 50y to check it before going for squirrel.

This was the first rifle I shot. 444 Marlin
Image
The 35 Rem. at 75y with 158gr. pistol bullets. First shot clean barrel was low then five a little over an inch. 4X scope.
Image
The Swift with 40gr. Sierra(3 shot)center target and 55 Hornady at bottom(4 shots) both at 100y.
Image
No picture of the CZ FS. Picture didn't come out. May do another one later.
The tiny TDS. Feels like a Red Ryder BB gun.

Never will figure how you keep them all straight!
Like the POIs on target with the Swift...
Most of all, love that beautiful Swift wood!

You definitely had variety in that group.
I learned that my limit for rifles is two. I took three once and three handguns. It was way too much work.
It looks like your shooting not affected by the workout.

I like a variety to shoot when I drive up to the range. My Corolla sits to low for the rough washed out road so I have to use the truck and just makes everything to tight in the cab. Then if the wife wants to go she just hates riding in the bed and getting her hair messed up. Just kidding. The best vehicle I had for hauling all my stuff to the range was my old Dodge mini van but the road now is bad enough I may not be able to get in there with it. It was fun after I got there and had everything I needed. Got a few bruises from the 444 Marlin.

Nice choice of firearms. Would have liked to see the FS picture. I have a 1987 Bronco II that is a second vehicle. That means I can load it with all my range items and leave it inside the Bronco. The Bronco is kept inside a garage but I don't leave firearms, ammo, or my tool kit in it but the rifle stand, target stand, targets, staplers and other related items get left in it.

I took a picture again of my target and CZ FS rifle for Sir Henry. This one worked. This rifle I put a Marlin front hood on it because I don't like the huge front hood CZ uses.

This is the target from Wednesday. Bottom target was three shots I fired before moving the adjustment up. Shot one and three were in the left hole. I then moved it up and fired five and it was good so I left it there then shot the 9MM casings on the 39A target at 50y and a few small stones from a piece of rail road tie behind the 100 yard target. Ammo was the CCI 30 V-Max. This rifle prefers the CCI.
