Range Report: first winter shots

My van is in the way from where I normally shoot from so I shot over it from my back door. From here it’s 35 yards and I hit the 11”x11” trap ten out of ten times offhand at 35 yards. No great accomplishment but still fun.

It’s nice to be able to load up inside where it’s 68F. It’s 9F outside with 15-25 mph wind. At times the wind blows the snow and I can’t see the trap.

I still need to shovel the overnight snow.

Yeah, it is winter in Wisconsin. Good for you getting out for a little shooting. I need to get out and clear the snow off my shooting bench, but that will have to wait for a nicer day.

That’s nice offhand shooting Gene. Looks very cold in your parts. Great looking pictures of the targets in the snow. :D

I plowed the driveway and then shot for another half hour. It’s not so much the cold as much as the wind. But you already know that.

I moved the van so I could shoot with a clearer sight. I also plowed and shoveled the driveway and it’s covered again with drifting snow.

Haha. You northerners. Glad you are still keeping up with your shooting.

I went out with son and grandson to shoot new Kel Tek 22mag pistol. And the Smith 9mm. Great fun. They both shoot better than me. Go figure. No targets, just the burn pit junk
