Rimfire hike along the creek bed........

Post by fortyshooter » Tue Oct 25, 2022 8:08 pm

This morning it felt like the perfect day for some woods walking being overcast with a touch of fog in the distance. So I picked the Henry .22 carbine
and the little fella Blackjack/Heritage 22 SA revolver to go along. Since we haven't had any rain much over last 4 months the creek had dried up and thought I would just hike the creek bed and plink along the way. Two range pups showed up as well and were happy to see me which adds to the fun as long as they out of my target areas! Oh and Lil' Blackjack got to carve a little pumpkin today!
Ammo today was the CCI 22 Long CB's which would give quiet fun plinking. Come along for the hike here :) https://youtu.be/HSvkYfRY_kQ

Hopefully we will get some good amounts of Winter rain/snow to get the creek back to normal again!

Love how you carved the pumpkin. Now you have me thinking about the Heritage again.

That little Heritage is a pumpkin carving stud. Nice job.

Those range dogs sure do look happy to see you.

Get you one Gene you might just like it! I have the 22 Mag cylinder that came with it and it has the playing cards engraved on it but when I shoot CCI
22 Mag it didn't shoot as well as the 22 LR or CB's. Might try another brand of Mags IF I can find some.

Yes it is a cool little shooter! My range buddies belong to a neighbor down the road and they just know when I am down there.
They greeted me at the gate this time.

Neat video and great narration forty. Having some fun as always. Spring time, that creek will be back.
