First shot, just high of the bullseye section,
Snapped the bolt πŸ˜‰πŸ€£ just a 325+gr chuck of lead.πŸ€ͺ

The gong is 3/8" thick AR500 steel 12"x24"

Slapped the center section plum around,

Likin' that 444 Randy! A very underrated round. Re-grouping a bit after getting back from Idaho.
We'll be talking.

I used to shoot the 444, so not surprised at all.

Yes just the bolt, ;) but
what an impact.
I'll be replacing both with a grade 8 bolts. ;)

Me, I'd use cheap skinny bolts. There is thrill in seeing something fly apart when shot :!:

I think this comes under the category of cruel and unusual treatment.

I just use the carriage type bolts which have no sharp corners for the targets that have the square holes. They will lose their heads after a good bit of use and not too expensive to replace. Of course the eagle eye shooters will hit the head sometime and game over!
