I drove the van to the bottom of the hill so Amazon can deliver to the back and then walked back to the house. I spotted several rabbit and coyote tracks.

Then I shot my Red Ryder. The target is 12 yards out from where I shot. It’s the rimfire gong on the left and only the reset gong is showing out of the snow. The view from the gong back to where I’m shooting. The gong. At this distance I can hit it almost every time. I like being able to step outside and plink at a moment’s thought. The hits you see are from my Henry. This is a rimfire gong and so is the cowbell to the right in the first picture. Building a range at 25 yards for rimfire will have to wait till spring. Hey wasn’t spring last Sunday!

Now that sounds like a great Rx to me. If it doesn't fix what ails you, it will definitely keep a smile on your face.

I like it because of the front sight. Here it is next to the Standard Carbine. It’s going to get back to single digits for the next couple of days.

When you rang the bell three times did anybody show up for dinner?
