Just some simple fun today!

Post by fortyshooter » Tue Mar 08, 2022 8:00 pm

Was down at the range today clearing out some brush and couple small trees along a trail. I had brought along my .22 12 shooter revolver just in case I had some time to plink. Well back in the range area I picked up some of the yellow 20 ga. spent shells laying around and put them up on a post.
Was some kind of fun popping those from about 20 feet with the 22LR CB's out the revolver watching them take off when and if I hit one....just simple fun today! :D

Plinking is my favorite type of shooting. I must say reading your past range reports influenced me into buying property where I could shoot more than just pellets. I can shoot centerfire where I’m at yet will most likely only shoot rimfire.

Keep on plinking and posting.

I loved shooting old shotgun shells as a kid. Skill building with the 22s is always great fun. A bag of ice in you cooler on the way to the range, dixie cups frozen the night before, water bottles filled and frozen. Cut away your forms, put up your ice targets, boom. They explode. Shoot the chunks, they explode. Shoot the smaller pieces. Next target. When you are done for the day, the sun will tidy up the range.

Worked great when the kids were learning to shoot.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
