H&R Plainsman

As promised here is my report on the Plainsman. It took a few shots for me to figure out where the bullets were but finally realized the scope was set low and right. Finally worked my way up to where it need to be. First 50 rounds at 50 yards. The scope is the original to the rifle. I think it's a H&R branded by Tasco (Japan) 4X. It's really good glass for what it is. Nice and clear. Oh, forgot to add that the trigger is really nice!

That's a fine looking rifle Jake. I think you have it dialed in pretty nicely now. I like that it has an H&R scope on it too. A real classic there.

Love those old vintage 22s like your Plainsman. Yours is in great shape, too, and is certainly a shooter. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. It has no serial number so I'm assuming it was made before 1968 (before Gun Control Act of 1968). It was kept in very good condition. I really like the trigger and the 24" barrel. The H&R scope is just an added bonus!

I'd say you found a winner and keeper there.
