LR308 Range Day II

Back out to the range today with my DPMS LR308. Needed to test fire it after the previous trip where the extractor broke. Hot as blazes today at the range, but I had the range to myself.
Loaded up a magazine with 10 rounds and began to fire at my 100 yd target. All is good, with rounds feeding and ejecting as the should. Checked my target through the spotting scope and the group was dead center but about 1" low. Made a quick scope adjustment and I'm on the money. Loaded up another magazine and fired 2 rounds and then a jam. Oh no not an extraction problem again. Cleared the jam and left the problem case on the bench. Then I noticed this case was one of the few nickel plated cases I have.
Loaded up another magazine with the remaining nickel plated cases, I had. Sure enough 3 functioned fine then a jam. Looks like my LR308 doesn't like nickel cases. Of the 50 rounds I fired, 9 were nickel cases and they caused 2 jams the remaining 41 brass rounds ran just fine. So lesson learned - no nickel case for my LR308.
This was the first time I loaded these nickel cases that came from my LEO son-in-law. He gave me a bag of 308 Win. brass about 9 months ago that included some nickel cases. I'll just reload the rest and give them to my son for his Remington 700. They should work just fine in a bolt action.
You can see the last few nickel case rounds in the top of the magazine on the bench.
Besides my LR308 being back in action, someone has now placed some steel plates at the 200 yard line of our rifle range. We now have a 6, 8, 10 and 12" plates at 200 yards. I had a blast making that steel dance with the 308.
