Range Report: bb’s are flying again
I never had a home range before and never knew how fun they can be. I’m shooting several times a day again and am almost up to where I was before.
I anticipated using the 25 yard range more and shooting at paper. As you can see it doesn’t get much use. This is where all the action is. Fun too!

Making things move is a lot more entertaining than shooting holes in paper.

And hearing them plink. Each gong has a different sound and changes where they are hit. A dead center hit is different than a deflection off.
I’ve thought about replacing the flowerpot extension hooks with picture hanging wire. I think it would make a longer lasting sound and swing more.

Here is the new and improved hanging system. It’s so hot I hung them and then when inside the air conditioned teardrop to cool off and post. I’ll see and hear the changes in a few minutes.

Oh yes this is sweet!
There is ten times as much movement. Especially on the small one. Hit it and it’s flying around for a minute. The medium sized one moves a lot less and the large one only moves a little. It’s in direct proportion to how difficult they are to hit.

That is such a cool range in an artsy way. You have a gift. I guarantee, it's one of a kind.

The wall is from the fence that surrounded the property. It was so rotten in places I tore it up and saved the best lumber. The metal was purchased at junk stores and the gongs bought online. The boots came from a box of past decades. The wheel barrels and plank came from somewhere. The bridge makes getting to the targets easily.North Country Gal wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 9:22 pmThat is such a cool range in an artsy way. You have a gift. I guarantee, it's one of a kind.![]()
I’m not over indulging in this am I?

I’m averaging about 100 a day. Not a lot but then it takes almost no time. Often I’m cooking or watering and will take five minutes to get five minutes of shooting.North Country Gal wrote: ↑Sat Aug 14, 2021 11:31 amI don't think so.Hey, it's all supposed to be fun, right?
