Finally got the Cimarron to the range.
Slipped off to the barn yesterday morning before heading to the river. Finally got to put a few rounds through the 1873 colt clone.
First off was some 200 gr cast that I got from Al, over 6.5 grs of Red dot.
First target, then a second one after putting 12 more in it.
Then was some 200 gr pc'd Missouri bullets over 8.0 grs of Unique.

Does look like fun. Nice work. Been thinking about a trip to the range to shoot the couple of Taylor/Uberti 18783s we still have. Couldn't bring myself to sell off all of our single actions, after all.

Thanks NCG, it was kind of a rushed session but was good to finally get a few rounds through it.
Next time will be a little more patient.
I forgot to mention that this was about 12 yds.
The trigger is definitely getting better, I have done quite a bit of dry firing and I can tell the difference from when I first brought it home.

Nice to see those bullets going down range instead of in the USPS trash can. Nice job Randy

Looks good Randy...both targets and revolver! I just finished up a small batch of MB 250 gr. over 6.0 of Red Dot in 45 Colt.

An 1873 is my favorite SA.

Nice shooting. Looks like that 1873 likes the Unique load. But what the heck, half the fun is figuring what load to try next.

Right about fun finding out what they like.
Not sure if the Unique load was best or that I was figuring out the sights.
More testing when time is not as rushed.
Thanks for the comments fellows.

I just hate it when I question my results and HAVE to go back and shoot more.
